Kenneth S. Stern

Kenneth S. Stern is the director of the Bard Center for the Study of Hate. Stern is an award-winning author and attorney, and previously served as the executive director of the Justus & Karin Rosenberg Foundation. Before that he was director of the division on antisemitism and extremism at the American Jewish Committee, where he worked for 25 years.

Stern’s op-eds and book reviews have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington PostUSA Today, The Boston Globethe Guardian, the Forward, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, and elsewhere. He has argued before the United States Supreme Court, testified before the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, was an invited presenter at the White House Conference on Hate Crimes, and served as a member of the U.S. Delegation to the Stockholm Forum on Combating Intolerance.
