Funding of Grants by the National Institutes of Health

The National Institutes of Health may, consistent with 31 U.S.C. § 1502(a), fund an entire research grant out of a single fiscal year's appropriations regardless of how long it takes to complete the work under the grant. The OLC does not provide release dates for its opinions, so the release date listed is the date on which the opinion was authored.
