Shourideh C.  Molavi

Shourideh C. Molavi is a senior lecturer at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights and the Department of Anthropology at Columbia University. Her research focuses on international humanitarian law, critical state theory, decolonization, and migration and border studies. Molavi is also a research fellow on Palestine/Israel for Forensic Architecture, a University of London-based research agency, where she has conducted over 20 investigations mapping the correlation between law, violence, and power. She has authored numerous books, including Stateless Citizenship: The Palestinian-Arab Citizens of Israel and Environmental Warfare in Gaza: Colonial Violence and New Landscapes of Resistance.
