Aashna Agarwal is the communications coordinator at the Knight First Amendment Institute. Her work supports the Institute’s media, multimedia, and public education efforts. Before joining the Institute, Agarwal worked at Freedom House as a research associate, leading the Asia portfolio for Freedom on the Net, the organization’s annual survey and analysis of internet freedom around the world. She previously worked at PEN America on the digital safety team, supporting the organization’s training program which equips journalists and writers facing online abuse and harassment with digital safety resources. She holds a B.A. in international relations and journalism from New York University.
